This program gives you a clear pathway to becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA). Once you’ve successfully completed this program, you can apply to CPA’s Professional Education Program (PEP) — the final step before you write your Common Final Exam (CFE). Even if you don’t have an accounting background, you’ll soon be on your way to becoming a CPA.
CPA’s preparatory courses are rigorous and challenging to complete. By taking our Professional Accounting program, you’ll get the equivalent courses in a supportive classroom setting. You’ll also benefit from the best of the college experience — practical learning, one-on-one attention and small classes. |

Postsecondary degree in any discipline and demonstrated competence through related work and/or suitability for a career in accounting.
International degrees will be considered for equivalency to domestic admission requirements.
Domestic applicants with education outside of Canada must have their transcripts assessed for equivalency through ICAS or WES. A comprehensive (course-by-course) postsecondary credential assessment is required.
International applicants need to follow the international application process.
All applicants with international credentials will need to confirm with the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA) directly regarding the acceptance of their degree for entry into the CPA Professional Education Program. Applicants are advised to visit the CPA website for contact information.
English language proficiency must be met in accordance with standards set out for Sheridan Graduate Certificate programs.

| Additional Admission Requirements: | Eligible applicants are selected on the basis of previous academic achievement, and/or demonstrated experience or suitability for a career in accounting.
Eligible applicants will be requested to submit a résumé and cover letter, and a brief response to three questions that illustrate the applicant's suitability for a career in accounting. Strong written and oral communication skills are required.
English Language Proficiency
Students in this program may apply to the co-op program during their second academic semester. Enrolment in the Co-op program is limited through an additional co-op application process that takes place at the end of the first year. Students in the co-op program are eligible to complete three co-op work terms prior to graduation.
