Description:

The Electrical Techniques one-year certificate program builds your working knowledge of electricity and electronics in relation to residential and commercial electrician applications. You’ll develop skills and competencies in electrical theory, network cabling, electrical system installation and electrical workplace safety.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.

    Applicants must have

    • An Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent* with completion of Grade 12 English (C or U) and Grade 11 Math (C, M or U) or Grade 12 (C or U)

    Additional Admission Requirements:

      * Mature student status (19 years of age or older and no OSSD)

      Mature Students may take the Admissions Assessment for English and Math, OR may consider upgrading to achieve the credit(s) needed in Math.
