Description:Students learn about wine tasting, grape varieties, wine regions of the world, and vinification, and sample a wide variety of wines from the Liquor Control Board of Ontario's (LCBO) general list and from current Vintages releases. The program also covers the theoretical and practical aspects of food and wine pairing and provides insight into the purchasing, cellaring and collecting of wine.

Students who successfully complete the program, can transfer their credits to the Sommelier program and with an additional four courses may attain the Ontario College Certificate designation. To qualify for this certificate, you must complete the six compulsory courses within three years.
