This degree provides a sound grounding in the theoretical and practical aspects of biology and chemistry, before focusing on subject material at the cutting edge of research. As with all MChem courses, a research project forms a major part of the final year.
Teaching is by lectures and tutorials, problem classes, lab practicals and computer-aided learning. Graduates are well qualified for careers in pharmaceutical, agrochemical or biochemical research. |
