Description:

The combination of Chinese studies and Spanish will give you insights into the links between Europe, East Asia and the Americas. You will study both languages and spend a year studying at a university in China.

You'll study the history, culture and society of China, its rapidly developing economy and growing political influence. Your modules in Hispanic studies aren't limited to Spain: topics range from medieval Spanish literature to contemporary Cuba and Mexico.

    Applicants are required to have an average of 75% in six grade 12 U, U/C or M courses, typically including a modern foreign language. If you are not studying a modern foreign language, the department will consider other evidence of aptitude for language learning (such as a languages GCSE or, for non-native speakers of English, an English language qualification). No prior knowledge of Chinese or Russian required (up to A Level Chinese acceptable).

    Application Notes : International students need an overall IELTS grade of 7.0 with a minimum of 6.5 in each component, or an equivalent English language qualification.
