Description:

The BA (Hons) Business Management (Finance) with Foundation Year is aimed at students who have an interest in developing a knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of business, finance and management, and in particular, who are looking to pursue a career in this field. The foundation year is an integral part of the undergraduate business programme. It will provide you with the necessary study skills and knowledge to prepare you for undergraduate study and help you gain a better understanding of the main areas of business. After the successful completion of the foundation year, year 1 will cover the key elements of business management. Years 2 and 3 will explore these themes in more detail along with elective options in finance.

This course focuses on making you career-ready, offering an excellent grounding in key areas. You will develop skills in research, presentation, critical analysis, problem solving, team building, and entrepreneurship. Upon completion of the course you will have gained the essential capabilities needed to work within the business finance area. This course has a real world focus with learning taking places both in and outside the classroom environment. Learning will be supported by online resources, including the Financial Times, case studies, simulations, learning videos, reading materials, online testing and feedback. Successful completion of the programme will earn you a Level 5 Extended Diploma in Management and Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), helping you stand out in the job market and get noticed by employers.

Applicants are required to have 32 UCAS points from the equivalent of one A Level or 40 UCAS points from the equivalent of two A Levels, and 5 GCSEs at A-C including English, and Grade D or above in Maths or equivalent qualifications.
