Description:

This programme will enable you to study a postgraduate degree pathway which has been planned by you and which reflects academic and professional development needs in line with the usual requirements for postgraduate level study. The open framework structure aims to facilitate pathway specialisation where possible and if desired.

This course is suitable for any practising graduate midwife and an individualised degree study pathway in which credits from prior study may be used. The study pathway can be tailored to current and future learning and development needs.

  • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5]
Application Notes : You must have competence in English language to study with us. The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.5 (with minimum 6.0 in all components). We also normally require Grade C GCSE or an equivalent qualification.
Additional Admission Requirements:
  • Work Experience
A good honours degree (2:2 or above) in midwifery or a related subject area is required.


Applicants must also hold an acceptable recognisable professional qualification in the UK or in your own country.


Exceptionally, students who do not have a degree but who have successfully completed level 7 CPD modules or who can provide evidence of their ability to pursue successfully the PG Diploma or MSc may be considered.


Applicants must be working as a midwife or have recent nursing experience (within one year).
