There are more and more Primary Health Organisations (PHOs) offering one-stop-shop services. But these bigger and more complex health service providers need skilled people looking after the administration and management side. One patient can have multiple healthcare requirements, and as a health administration graduate you ensure all their needs are met. You’ll work with patients and their family/whanau in planning, decision-making and administrative roles.
The Health Administration major is a good choice if you want to move into the business administration side of the health sector. You learn the knowledge and skills needed to work within health administration at national, local and inter-professional levels.
