This degree will develop key knowledge and understanding in the study of children and childhood in the ‘middle years’ (ages 5-11) and place you at the forefront of developments and current thinking in this area. You will be supported in developing essential intellectual and practical skills, enabling you to become an effective children’s practitioner across a range of roles, equipped with the professional attitudes and qualities that will make you stand out to potential employers. Built on a strong underpinning of research, the programme places an emphasis on understanding the complexities and challenges of the contexts within which children live, develop and learn. International perspectives on children, childhood and education are considered with practical, real-life case studies. There are also opportunities to experience a range of work-based settings. |
