Description:

This program provides you with the academic and clinical experience to work in the exciting and challenging field of emergency medical services. The program runs for 20 months, in which the first year consists of 30 weeks of theory at the College. Year 2 consists of 15 weeks of Theory at the College and another 15 weeks of work-integrated learning, clinical and field practicum rotations. The academic component of this program will be delivered online with some in class/lab activities at Notre Dame Campus in Winnipeg. Clinical and Field practicum experience will be conducted in rural Manitoba and in Winnipeg.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Submit proof of successful completion of: Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from a Canadian Medical Association accredited training program OR Intermediate level of practice for Paramedicine (ICP) or Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with Transfer of Function (TOF) Level.

    Submit a résumé detailing three years experience in the primary care paramedic field. Submit two professional/work related letters of reference.
