Description:

This course will provide you with an opportunity for you to develop understanding of the theories and concepts for emergency planning, resilience, business continuity, disaster management and recovery. The course caters for those who wish to embark on a career in emergency planning, business continuity or humanitarian aid either internationally or in the UK.

A flexible approach to the subjects studied ensures you develop a sound working knowledge of the principles and practice of underpinning policy, academic knowledge, and practical insight. This will include the examination of disaster policies, legislation, hazard management processes, disaster reduction issues, complex disaster systems and models, and interaction between these, the environment, and the wider involvement and views of society.
