Description:

VCC offers a variety of courses for Deaf and hard of hearing students. These consist of basic English language skills including grammar, reading, vocabulary and writing. DHH students can also consider the full-time job readiness program.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    1) Deaf or hard of hearing.
    2) Eighteen years of age or older.
    3) Ability to communicate independently in one or more of the following: spoken or written English, American Sign Language (ASL) or another sign language.
    4) An interview with the Department.
    5) An ESL assessment may be required.
