Description:

The FD in Equine Behaviour, Training and Performance embraces scientific knowledge of behaviour, training and performance to develop your interest, knowledge and understanding of the issues of horse training and performance. The course focuses on the application of equine science to improve equitation performance and welfare. Through learning about and using the latest technology you will learn how to measure the impact training and performance has on our horses. By studying the laws of behaviour and how horses learn you will get plenty of practical opportunities to investigate contemporary horse-training methods within a framework of established and empirically tested training principles.

Your studies will provide unique national and international opportunities to develop your riding and improve your skills in the management and coaching of equitation welfare and performance throughout the world. Using the latest evidence-based knowledge to revolutionize and enlighten your current equestrian practices this degree will support and deepen your passion for horse training and welfare, and also for exploring and contributing to the rapidly developing field of equine science.
