Description:

This course, delivered by the University of Wolverhampton’s experienced academic staff, world-leading experts and conservation practitioners, bridges classroom and field learning to teach contemporary knowledge and techniques required of professionals both in the UK and overseas. Teaching focuses throughout on animals in their wild settings, with options for foundational study and deeper specialisation in module choice, a compulsory field course and detailed independent research demonstrating your development and preparing you for professional work. Your understanding of applied skills in conservation and problem solving will be tempered through workshops and seminars, acting within an immersive environment which will inform your future career exploration, roles for graduates available in a host of statutory and non-governmental organisations across the wildlife and conservation sector.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    A minimum of a 2:2 honours degree in a relevant subject area. Normally this should have a wildlife biology, animal behaviour or wildlife conservation focus, however other cognate areas will be considered. Consideration will be given to those who are already experienced practitioners in a field of wildlife conservation and behaviour, but who lack formal qualifications that would be the normal entry requirement.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0]
