Description:

The MSc Health and Wellbeing ‘Top Up’ course is designed to allow you to ‘top up’ your existing Post-graduate Diploma qualification (or equivalent) in any health, welfare or social care related subject to a full master’s qualification. This will be achieved by you producing a 60 credit independent study in one of three options: a research dissertation; an evidence based practice module containing two summative assessments, usually of relevance to your current workplace – which runs in October each year; or a consultancy report, usually of relevance to your current workplace. Whichever option you choose this module will consist of an independent project designed, planned and carried out by yourself and written up in a minimum of 15,000 and a maximum of 20,000 words. You will be provided with appropriate individual supervision to support your independent study.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    The minimum academic entry requirement is 120 level 7 credits or a completed Post-graduate Diploma at level 7 (Master’s level) in any health, welfare or social care related discipline. These credits / your Diploma must have been fully completed and agreed by an examination board before starting this course.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 550] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.0]
    Application Notes : If English is not your first language you will need to have a TOEFL score of 550 or above, or an IELTS score of 6.0 or above, or evidence of English proficiency equivalent to these scores.
