Description:

This 16-month program offers students more than 24 weeks of practical experience in a variety of teaching contexts. Students enrolled in this pathway will learn to teach children in elementary grades (Kindergarten to Grade 6). The Bachelor of Education program offers extensive practical experience both inside and outside the classroom setting, including: two school-based practicums; community field experience; a 15-week internship; and many place-based learning opportunities. Join our community and engage in collaborative learning with instructors, classmates, practising educators, and community partners. You will graduate with a globally recognized UBC Bachelor of Education degree that is highly sought after by employers locally, nationally, and internationally.

Application Notes : To be eligible for admission to the Bachelor of Education program, students must have completed a four-year (minimum 120-credit) bachelor’s degree or equivalent at an accredited post-secondary institution.

In addition, applicants must have a minimum of 75 hours of practical experience (volunteer or paid) working with young people, preferably at the age range they are proposing to teach.
