Description:

An Environmental Control graduate certificate from Sheridan offers quick entry into this rapidly expanding field for graduates from a traditional science, engineering or technology discipline. The Environmental Control program builds on existing knowledge to develop the specialized expertise and skills needed by employers in the environmental sector. Environmental Control students with a grade point average of 3.0 or higher are eligible to apply for a four-month, paid co-op placement providing valuable work experience. After graduation and the completion of relevant work and course experience, you can apply for Canadian Environmental Practitioner (CEP) certification. Environmental Control graduate certificate program classes are held at the Davis Campus in Brampton, Ontario.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Postsecondary diploma or degree in science or engineering plus a postsecondary degree first year Chemistry course with a minimum grade of 60% or a second year diploma level Chemistry course with a minimum grade of 60%.
    Application Notes : Postsecondary transcripts, indicating courses completed to date, must be submitted to ontariocolleges.ca at the time of application. Domestic applicants with education outside of Canada must have their transcripts assessed for equivalency through ICAS or WES. A comprehensive (course-by-course) post-secondary credential assessment is required. Applicants who do not meet the admission requirements for this program may be advised individually regarding other related programs.
