Program Information

School:University of East London - Graduate Programs
Field of Study:Advanced Legal Research/Studies, General (Graduate Level)
Description:This general law course will equip you for the next step in your legal career – or provide a rigorous legal education for whatever sector you want to work in. The LLM is not a qualifying law degree but it is a highly useful next step for those with an LLB. It is also an excellent course if you have a general interest in the subject or if legal knowledge would be useful in your field.

You will study law in the context of a range of themes and perspectives, gaining knowledge of and insights into contemporary trends and issues such as human rights, international development, refugees, women, and minorities. If you want to keep on working and earn while you learn, you can. All of our classes take place in the evening, with lectures also made available as podcasts and posted online. You will be able to choose the direction of your studies depending on your interests and aspirations as you will have around 20 options to choose from. You will also decide on the subject of your dissertation, which is a core element of the course.
