Description:The Digital Film & Video Program at The Art Institute of Vancouver provides an intensive study of digital production and visual storytelling, focusing on digital film, corporate and commercial video production. Expanding digital markets continue to present new challenges for the workforce. With this in mind, the Digital Film & Video program offers students an ever expanding curriculum which prepares them to meet the needs of industry. With the guidance of seasoned industry professionals and mentors, students will explore the skills and organizational thinking necessary for a creative and productive experience, accessing and executing their own ideas and vision via hands-on learning opportunities and practical field exercises. The curriculum, designed in consultation with industry representatives, prepares students for entry-level positions in digital filmmaking and related industries.

The Digital Film & Video program is best suited for highly-motivated, selfstarters who want a well-rounded education preparing them for a career in Digital Film & Video production. The Applied Elective may be satisfied by DFV212 Advanced Post Production or by selecting a course from the Professional Recording Arts program.
