Applicants with higher education study must have successful completion of at least two university level subjects (AQF level Associate Degree or higher) demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies. Successful completion of a Tertiary Preparation Course from an Australian University or an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
Applicants with vocational education and training (VET) study must have a completed AQF Certificate III (or higher) at an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies, and 50% completion of an AQF Diploma level qualification at an accredited provider demonstrating a reasonable prospect of success through the Grade Point Average (GPA) gained in these studies.
Applicants with work and life experience must be Commissioned Officers from Australian Police, Fire, Mercantile Marine, Civil Aviation and Defence Forces (and related) can be admitted on the basis of rank, license, class, length of service and/or competencies achieved.
Applicants with recent secondary education (within past two years) must have ATAR-based admission, and an ATAR of 65 (including adjustment factors). Other admission options: Schools Recommendation Scheme (SRS), a CSU Diploma of General Studies, or an Elite Athletes Program.
There is a significant demand for teachers qualified in technology and applied studies. On completion of this course you'll be classed as a teacher of technology with the ability to teach in the key learning area of design and technology, and another selected area from agricultural, food, industrial and information technology. Students undertaking the industrial technology or food technology strand can also include an additional teaching area of either graphics and multimedia technology or textiles technology. |
