Description:

If you've ever watched the credits roll at the end of a movie, you know it takes a lot of people to make a production happen. In this two-year intensive program you cover the entire film production cycle from initial concept through to distribution within a challenging, hands-on learning environment. You learn script development, set design and construction, film and video production, editing, set etiquette, and more. Your challenge is to design, produce, manage, and complete productions in a creative and collaborative crew environment.

This is a freelance industry with many opportunities for those who are interested and motivated. In the past, Nova Scotia has enjoyed a steady production industry with many ‘movies-of-the-week’ and featured productions being shot and produced here. Graduates of the program have worked with both established producers and on smaller independent projects or have established their own production companies.
