Description:

Occupational Psychologists apply the science of psychology in work-based settings. The Occupational Psychology MSc is accredited by the British Psychological Society and provides a thorough grounding in the theory and practical skills central to the application of psychological research in the workplace. For those that have GBC, the course confers stage 1 of training as an Occupational Psychologist.

You can study this course in one of two different ways: as a blended learning course (a mix of online and residential), run over 2 years, January to December (course code HLST125); or as a face-to-face course based on Coventry University campus, run over 1 year (full-time study) or 2 years (part-time study), October to September (course code HLST126).

Application Notes : Applicants whose first language is not English should have an IELTS of 6.5 overall, with no component lower than 5.5. Pre-sessional English is available if required.

Admission to the course requires a level of psychological knowledge and skills which is normally provided by an accredited Honours degree in Psychology. Those that do not hold a degree in psychology require: evidence of practical experience in a relevant area; evidence of a relevant undergraduate degree with research methods training (e.g. business, science, human resources) at the level of 2:2 or above; and evidence of particular achievements at undergraduate level which indicate strengths in occupational psychology. You will be asked to complete an application form and provide evidence of your degree classification. You will also be required to provide two references, at least one of which should include comments on your academic ability.
