Description:

This course enables health and social care practitioners to develop and enhance their professional careers in a constantly changing health care system that demands increasingly complex skills.

Students will develop the skills to critically appraise situations and to utilise research findings. They will have the opportunity to incorporate new ideas and concepts into practice as reflective practitioners within a multiprofessional team. This course provides the health and social care professional with a flexible approach to studying by allowing them more choice in the short courses/modules they wish to undertake.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    BSc(Hons): Applicants should be registered practitioners, normally have two years' post-qualifying experience relevant to the chosen programme and have 120 credits at Level 2 relevant to the subject areas to be studied.

    Dip HE: Applicants should be registered practitioners with one year's full-time experience or equivalent, have 120 credits at Level 1 relevant to the subject areas to be studied and normally be working in the relevant clinical area or specialism while undertaking the course or be able to guarantee access to clinical placements.
