Description:

Equip yourself with the expertise to contribute more effectively to the delivery of health and community care. You will increase your knowledge of new developments in the field, gain finely tuned time management and prioritisation skills and hone your understanding of the complex issues at the forefront of your specialist area. This course incorporates a variety of modules to meet the needs of a wide range of healthcare environments. Emphasis is placed on self-directed and lifelong learning, and you will be given one-to-one support to plan and organise a personalised programme of study. You will have the opportunity to consider your area of practice in significant depth and further develop your critical analysis and reasoning skills. With our part-time option, you will have the flexibility to study at your own pace to fit your learning around your work and personal commitments.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree in the cognate subjects of Care, including nursing, social work, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech & language therapy, dietetics, paramedic practice or radiography, or at least a second class honours degree in a non-cognate subject supported by evidence of an aptitude for the subject applied for. Applicants who do not meet this academic requirement are advised to undertake the Professional Profile Development module in order to apply for recognition of prior (experiential) learning.
