This program equips graduate entry students with the theoretical knowledge, skills and professional attributes necessary for careers in physiotherapy. Students are prepared for ongoing professional development throughout their careers.
Physiotherapists treat the reactions and responses of the body to injury, disease or abnormalities in development. They are also key health professionals in the prevention of injury. Physiotherapy often involves promotion of motor development and coordination; physical methods to control pain; therapeutic exercise for impaired muscle systems; assisting in the physical management of the cardio-respiratory system; or improving balance and motor control for better performance and function.
Graduates possess an integrated body of knowledge, the clinical abilities, problem-solving skills and professional attributes to provide competent physiotherapy service in a wide range of contexts. They are also committed to self-learning and professional growth, and adapt to change and respond to challenge.

An approved bachelor degree (other than physiotherapy) in a field such as health, education, social, physical or biological sciences with a minimum GPA of 4.0. Entry is competitive based on GPA and varies each year. University level or equivalent courses are also required in human anatomy, human physiology, psychology and statistics.
