Description:

This course investigates aspects of taxonomy, evolution, ecology, behaviour and conservation of wild animals. The course has a significant international as well as UK focus and you will have the opportunity to take part in field courses and project work in Europe and Africa. Throughout the course you will acquire useful laboratory skills and develop analytical skills that can be applied to the conservation and management of biodiversity.

Typical areas of study include: international issues in biodiversity conservation; the sustainable management of biological resources; animal behaviour and conservation; molecular ecology and conservation genetics; and habitat management.

    Canadian High School diploma holders (Grade 12 graduates) are usually accepted, subject to meeting the minimum entry requirements of the University. Please note that Grade 11 mathematics and English and/or above are usually required for most academic courses.
