Description:

This course aims to develop your understanding of biological principles relating to the function of the human body and the characteristics and diagnosis of disease leading to possible therapeutic interventions. You will gain a solid grounding in the principles of biomedical science prior to studying more specialist and advanced topics.

Typical areas of study include biomolecules, cells and microorganisms, systems physiology, biochemistry, medical microbiology, haematology and transfusion, histopathology and cytology, immunology and immune disorders, genetics and integrated pathology.

    Canadian High School diploma holders (Grade 12 graduates) are usually accepted, subject to meeting the minimum entry requirements of the University. Please note that Grade 11 mathematics and English and/or above are usually required for most academic courses.
