Description:

Do you want to become a Registered Massage Therapist but are unable to physically attend classes at the present? Are you looking for an option that allows you to manage your busy schedule & still go to school? CCMH Halifax offers an Online-Onsite Blended Massage Therapy Program that allows you to take a portion of your education on-line followed by an onsite portion. With this hybrid program, complete the the first two years online, with instructor-lead learning of the science and professional practice components. Once complete, you decide where you want to take the on-site component of your education.

CCMH Halifax offers all remaining (practical) courses as a 12-month, full-time option. Not a resident of Halifax? No problem, with a prior learning assessment of your online education you can transfer your science and professional practice credits to another CCMH Campus (Toronto or Cambridge) and finish the practical training on-site in Ontario within the structure their regular program. If you have questions regarding funding options, please contact the Admissions Department at the Campus you wish to attend.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
Admissions requirements for the on-line program are exactly the same as for our on-campus courses. If students are not able to attend our Intro. Courses here in Halifax, they have options: 1. Request exemption for previously completed course work, such as university or college courses in a life science; for example, anatomy or physiology. OR 2. Complete the Intro. courses at any other CCMH or WCCMT campus OR 3. Complete the Intro. Courses through distance education. For Intro. to Massage Therapy, the distance course would require approximately 16 hours of workbook study, providing a basic understanding of techniques, effects and hygiene, followed by a quiz. Applicants will also be required to schedule an appointment with a Registered Massage Therapist and complete a report on their experience.

    * We make every attempt to provide accurate information on prerequisites, programs, and tuition. However, this information is subject to change without notice and we highly recommend that you contact the school to confirm important information before applying.
