Description:

The Northern Studies degree is a four year program offered by the University of Saskatchewan that may be completed at Parkland College. The Northern Studies program offers students the opportunity to learn about the lands, peoples and issues of the circumpolar North with a special emphasis given to matters concerning indigenous people. Students pursuing a degree in Northern Studies are required to complete an advanced emphasis stream in either aboriginal administration or environmental impact assessment.

All classes can be completed at Parkland College through face to face classes and online distance learning from the University or Regina, University of Saskatchewan and Athabasca University. This bachelor degree is a bit more complex than many of our other programs because of the need to work within some tight regulations. It is essential that students interested in pursuing this field of study contact our academic advisor for more information and to create a schedule of classes.
