The Master of Education in Curriculum Studies for Health Interprofessionals is designed for educators and administrators from health fields who wish to explore classic and contemporary theory and research in curriculum studies. The program and courses are designed to enhance your teaching, planning and course delivery as well as your understanding of the theoretical frameworks within which educational programming has been understood. This program is oriented specifically to the needs and contexts of health professionals and the diversity of the interprofessional cohort is a strength of the program that allows for rich practical learning engagements. The ultimate aim of the program is to help you become a more critical, reflective educator.

A Bachelor of Education degree or its equivalent (Nova Scotia Teachers College plus an undergraduate degree) with a B (73-76%) average in the BEd program or in the final two years of study is required. |

Experience: Two years of successful teaching or related experience
Documents: Two references from persons conversant with the applicant's academic and professional ability. Applicants whose undergraduate degree is conferred five or more years ago, or who have a Master's degree, may substitute a professional reference for the academic reference. All other applicants must provide an academic reference (downloadable forms are available at http://gradstudies.acadiau.ca/Graduate_Admissions.html).

A letter of intent describing the nature and focus of study which they wish to pursue. This letter should include a discussion of relevant academic study and professional experience related to the applicant's program interests.
For all international applicants, a copy of passport (only page 1 and 2) is also required. |
