Field of Study:Environmental Studies
Geography
Description:Geography is the study of the powerful forces shaping the world in which we live. It is a diverse and integrative discipline spanning the boundary between the physical world and social sciences or humanities. Geography can be studied as a physical science resulting in a BSc (Hons) award, or as a social science or humanities subject for the MA (Hons) award.

If you study it as a physical science you may focus on the environment, mainly on landscapes and their evolution through space and time. If you study it as a social science or humanities subject you will learn about the relationships between people and their social, cultural, political and economic worlds. In both cases, the relationship between the human and physical environments is central, and both BSc and MA students choose human geography or physical geography options or a combination of both.
