Description:

The SaskPolytech Early Childhood Education Diploma builds on the knowledge, attitudes and skills developed in the ECE certificate program. You will further enhance your knowledge by studying expanded theory in the classroom. You will also have opportunities to demonstrate your increased skill and independence in a variety of child care situations during practicums.

Parkland College currently offers the ECE Certificate and Diploma program on a part-time basis in Fort Qu’Appelle and at the Main Campus in Yorkton. This program meets the licence requirement ECE III classification of the Child Care Regulations, 2001, Early Learning and Child Care branch, Ministry of Education.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants are required to have an Early Childhood Education Certificate and they must satisfy the English Language Requirement.
    Test Scores:
    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5]
    Application Notes : All academic programs require IELTS – Academic 6.5 overall (no bands lower than 5.0).
    Additional Admission Requirements:
