The Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician (MLA/T) diploma program is designed to prepare you for a challenging career in a medical laboratory or medical clinic. In Mississauga, this diploma program is delivered over a 32 week period, 5 hours a day, Monday to Friday and includes a 6 week co-op placement. In Ottawa, our new program is scheduled 4 hours a day over a 40 week period and also includes a 6 week co-op placement. A co-op placement combined with practical classroom instruction ensures you graduate with confidence in yourself and in your theoretical and practical skills.
Graduates of our Medical Laboratory Assistant/Technician diploma program are eligible to write the OSMT examination. Successful completion of this exam will allow students to attain the designation of ‘MLA/T’. |
