You will be introduced to the specific conventions, formats and techniques of scriptwriting for different forms, and will learn by writing scenes and short scripts under the tuition of professional playwrights and other experts. You’ll also study the history of dramatic literature and performance, and develop practical and critical skills, adding greater depth to your writing.

Working alongside students on other programmes, you will develop your writing skills in the context of different aspects of theatre work, including acting, rehearsal and production methods.
