Description:

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science offers masters (M.Eng.) and doctoral (PhD) level degrees in civil engineering, as well as the related multidisciplinary fields of mechanics; structures and materials; and hydrotechnical and environmental engineering and applied science.

Some of the research areas that our students and faculty members are involved in include:

* coastal studies
* geotechnical
* structural design and analysis
* water resources
* hydraulics
* hydrology
* environmental engineering
* wind engineering

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    * Master's degree in an appropriate area of study

    * Admission is normally restricted to candidates holding a Master's degree in Engineering or a related area. Decisions on admission, however, will also take into account such things as the applicant's rank in class, referees' assessments, general performance throughout the applicant's previous academic programs, and the availability of supervisors in the area of the applicant's interest.
