Description:

Registered veterinary nurses are in high demand – with excellent employment opportunities. In 2021/22, 90% of our graduates gained employment with the remaining completing further study.

Veterinary nurses work alongside veterinary surgeons providing nursing care to a variety of animals and making a real difference to the lives of animals and pets. Currently, there is a nationwide shortage of qualified veterinary nurses so job prospects upon graduation are excellent. Topping up your veterinary nurse qualifications to degree level will open up many opportunities and will expand your career prospects. This course is run in collaboration with the College of Animal Welfare, one the UK's largest veterinary nurse training providers, and aims to give you the skills, experience and knowledge to become a critically thinking individual who can enhance the standing of the Veterinary Nursing profession.

    Undergraduate applicants from Canada will need to have completed one of the following:

    • International Baccalaureate Diploma -High School Diploma or Secondary School Diploma or a Diplôme d'Etudes Collègiales (DEC) with at least 5 grade 12 courses with 60% or higher depending on the subject you are applying for
    • High School Diploma and scores of 3+ on at least two Advanced Placement exams -Satisfactorily completion of one year of college/university level study with minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Professional Diploma from a technical school (2 years post-secondary in a specialised field of study)

    Students who have completed the two-year Associate degree may be eligible for advanced standing onto the second year of an undergraduate degree course.

    • International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) or Pearson Test of English (Academic) or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based)
