The Dental Assistant program is Level I and II. It is a 35-week diploma program registered with the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities which meets the requirements of H.A.R.P. (Healing Arts Radiating Protection Act), allowing the graduate to take x-rays in the Province of Ontario.
The program consists of 2 semesters 16 weeks each, with a one-week break between semesters, and 3 weeks of internship during the second semester. Upon successful completion of the Level I and II Dental Assistant program, the graduate is eligible to write the NDAEB Exam. The success rate of our students is consistent with the National average.
This is a full-time program. The student will attend a Clinic Theory class at a local dental office to practice their hands-on skills, such as oral evacuation, instrument transfer, rubber dam application, practical radiography, pit and fissure sealant application, coronal polishing, etc. |
