Description:

The Diploma in Jewellery/Metal Arts provides intensive skill development by introducing you to sawing, filing, soldering, riveting and stone-setting. Mold-making and casting technologies enable you to experiment in making multiple designs. Through advanced processes such as complex construction, forging and silversmithing, you establish an individual artistic practice. Through applied research, critical discourse and self-reflection, you will engage in experimentation and creative problem solving. You learn about written and visual communications for artists and entrepreneurs, art history, drawing and 2D/3D design. Assignments are designed to create a portfolio that celebrate the power of your imagination and can be used to launch your career.
