You may gain admission into this Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician – Automation and Robotics (Fast Track) if you have completed a college or university engineering and science program. This program will allow you direct admission into year two (semester three) of the two-year offering so that you may receive your Technician diploma in one year (two semesters). From packaging to car radiators, automated systems are involved in manufacturing almost any item you can think of. As such, they play a key role in industries ranging from automotive to pharmaceutical and food. To prepare you for all of the areas in which automated systems are used, this School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science program will teach you the basic electromechanical technology used in building and operating automated industrial systems, including: Programmable logic controllers (PLC); Robotics; Electronics/electrical; Hydraulics and pneumatics. Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician – Automation and Robotics (Fast Track) courses will provide a thorough understanding of theory, along with practical, hands-on laboratory experience. Should you wish to continue your studies, you may do so by attending an additional year in the Technology program option. During this time, you will and explore the field of precision controls and the total electronic integration of modern, complex automated systems through industry-leading field placements.

    College diploma or university degree in computer science, engineering or a related discipline. We will consider applicants with a combination of partial degree or diploma, and relevant work experience.

    Transcript and resume review is required. Centennial College English Skills Assessment is required (score of 160 or 161 is required for admission). A Centennial College engineering math assessment may be requested (applicants will be notified individually).
