|Description:||The Honours Program in Sociology offers dedicated undergraduate students the opportunity to conduct independent research under the supervision of a tenure/tenurable faculty member in Sociology who has expertise in the student's chosen research area. You will submit the results of your research in the form of an Honours thesis or project. When you successfully complete the Honours Program you will be well positioned to apply to academic graduate schools as many universities prefer an Honours degree with a thesis component. Honours program also provides you with research, writing and analytical skills that may be useful in further studies and/or employment.

- Grade12 English
- Grade12 Applied Mathematics or Grade12 Pure Mathematics
Applicants are required to have English Language Arts 30-1 – minimum grade 60%, and Mathematics 30-1 or 30-2 or a second language at the 30 level – minimum grade 50%.
- Canadian Academic English Language Assessment [min. 70] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 83] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 85]
All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency if their primary or first language (meaning the main language learned and used as a child) is not English.
