|Description:||Today there is a demand for designers who have an understanding of both computing science and the human requirements of users. Students will explore the centrality of design to all aspects of computing and learn how to analyze the needs of users and work with computer scientists to create user-friendly systems. This program gives you the opportunity to learn the fundamental principles and concepts of computing science as well as the basic framework that computing scientists and software developers work within.
Designers create innovative solutions for industry and community that shape how our world looks and functions, from information design and environmental signage to the design of medical assistive devices. Our Bachelor of Design degree in the Faculty of Arts, one of the most innovative of its kind in North America, focuses on socially responsible and sustainable design in the areas of Industrial Design and Visual Communication Design. In addition to a specialization, you may choose one of the following program routes: Business and Marketing, Engineering, Computing Science, Social Sciences, Printmaking, or General Route.
