Description:As the computing power of information technologies increases, business and industry have a growing need for employees with expertise in Computational Mathematics, a field at the intersection of mathematics, scientific computation, and computer science.

Computational Mathematics at Waterloo is designed to serve the common needs of diverse areas of industry, including biotechnology, business, economics, engineering, finance, and medicine. Graduates will be able to develop mathematical models that simulate problems in industry and to analyze data sets, formulae, and images in ways that help us to understand the nature of the world around us and to predict and influence the future.
