Description:

The PhD Program in Organizational Behaviour and Human Resources (OBHR) is designed for research-oriented academics who want to study issues related to people and organizations. In the program, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the effects of management practices on people, between people within organizational settings, and between organizations themselves. (Note that the program is not intended for the development of consultants or managers.)

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    A Master's degree is typical but not an absolute requirement; in exceptional cases, direct admission may be permissible on the basis of a first university-level degree with first-class standing. Typical academic backgrounds of incoming students include business administration, social sciences, and the humanities.
    Test Scores:
    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 250] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 100] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 600] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 7.0] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 84]
    • Graduate Management Admission Test or Graduate Record Examination
    Application Notes : Official copies of GMAT (preferred) and/or GRE scores are required. There are no official cut-off levels for these scores, but the average score of successful applicants is about the 95th percentile.
