The Department of Modern Foreign Languages offers majors in French or Spanish and minors in French, German, Japanese, Polish, or Spanish. Additional offerings may include courses in American Sign Language, Arabic, Chinese, and Latin. Students in the department acquire language skills as well as awareness of the respective cultures. They are encouraged to participate in a study abroad program.
