Description:

The MEng in Building Engineering allows practicing engineers to build on knowledge obtained at the undergraduate level. The program enhances design skills and your ability to present technical material in written form. Some examples of subfields studied include building science, construction management, energy efficiency and rehabilitation of urban infrastructures. The program requires the satisfactory completion of 45 credits of course work. All graduate courses are scheduled in the evening, particularly convenient for practicing engineers who are employed full-time.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    Applicants to the M.Eng. Program must hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent with high standing. Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree in architecture with high engineering content may also be considered for the M.Eng. program. Such students will be required to enroll in an extended program. Qualified applicants requiring prerequisite courses may be required to take such courses in addition to their regular graduate program. Applicants with deficiencies in their undergraduate preparation may be required to take a qualifying program.
