Description:

The Master of Science (MSc) in Electrical and Computer Engineering program incorporates coursework and a research project which is supervised by a member of the department. Many students find that the additional qualification boosts their career trajectory, while for others it is a pathway to further research and the PhD degree. The Master of Engineering (MEng) is a terminal degree that combines coursework and an engineering project and does not provide access to a PhD program.

Prerequisites:

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
    MSc students must complete a minimum of 12 credit hours of coursework, complete a thesis, make an oral presentation on the completed thesis to the examining committee, and pass an oral examination.




    To qualify for admission to the Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering program, you must normally:
  • Have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Be accepted by an academic advisor

    Qualification for admission to the electrical and computer engineering graduate program is contingent on first receiving tentative acceptance from an academic advisor who will accept you into their research group.
