| The Yukon Native Teacher Education Program (YNTEP) is a four-year program leading to a Bachelor of Education degree. Graduates qualify for both Saskatchewan and Yukon Teacher Certification and are eligible for teacher certification throughout Canada. YNTEP students gain the knowledge and skills to develop units of instruction, plan lessons incorporating best practices of instruction within a cross-cultural and diverse classroom, and learn a wide variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners. |

- Grade12 English
- Grade12 Mathematics or Grade12 Science
To be eligible for admission students must meet one the following criteria:
(1) High School Applicants
- Grade 12 with 65% average
- English 12, Mathematics 12, and a Science 12
(2) Mature Applicants
- Acceptable scores in post-secondary such as the GED with attention to English and Mathematics
- Demonstrated success in post-secondary study.
(3) Post-Secondary Applicant
- If applicant has prior post-secondary credits, admission is based upon their overall average, which must be a minimum of 65%
- Evidence of English and Mathematics Proficiency. |
