Our Master of Arts in Couple and Family Therapy program prepares entry-level marriage and family therapists to serve families, couples, youth, and individuals. Our innovative program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage and Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE), facilitating portability of licensure and expanding employment opportunities. We train students to demonstrate cultural competency in practicing with diverse populations. We are firmly grounded in systemic, modern, and post-modern models of couple and family therapy theory. Our approach brings together intensive coursework with real-world clinical practicum experience to help students establish a clear professional identity as a Couple and Family Therapist.

Applicants are required to have: a baccalaureate degree from a college or university regionally accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency or an equivalent degree from an international college or university; and a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all undergraduate coursework and/or a 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all graduate coursework. Approved applicants will be invited to participate in an on-campus interview with core faculty as a final step in the application process.
