Description:

LACS at Guelph is a personally and professionally enriching program. Students come to this interdisciplinary program from different undergraduate disciplines, such as Literature, History, International Development, Political Science, Sociology, Art History, Music, Film Studies, Translation, and Education. They also come from different countries. The diverse environment is as beneficial to students as over twenty Latin American, Caribbean and Latinx specialists with whom students work closely, often on a one-on-one-basis.

These courses are intended as guidelines. Speak to your guidance counsellor to see what courses are offered at your school.
  • The equivalent of an Honours degree from an accredited institution with at least a high second-class standing (78% or higher) in the last 2 years of study. At least a reading knowledge of Spanish is required. If your first language is not English, you will be required to submit the results of a standardized language test.

  • The program also requires a two-page double spaced letter of Intent and considers it a very important part of the application dossier.
