Description:

McMaster’s eHealth graduate program provides high quality training in the broad interdisciplinary area of health informatics. It emphasizes industry-relevant academic research and development. The program is the result of a partnership between the faculties of Health Sciences, Engineering and Business. Students are given extensive training, along with research and internship experience. The combination will give you the unique expertise you will need to use technology to help improve and develop the healthcare system in Canada. You will learn from McMaster faculty, visiting academic and industry speakers, researchers and your fellow students.

    Honours Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (computing and software, business or health sciences), Minimum B+ average in the final year of study, a substantial computing applications background is normally required. Applicants who have completed an academic ESL program through Canadian academic institutions may petition to have this considered in lieu of TOEFL.

    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (Paper Based) [min. 580] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Computer Based) [min. 237] or Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet Based) [min. 92] or International English Language Testing System (academic or immigration) [min. 6.5] or Michigan English Language Assessment Battery [min. 90]
    Application Notes : If English is not your native language, an official copy of your TOEFL score, or other evidence of competency in English. A minimum TOEFL (iBT) score of 80 (550 on the paper-based TOEFL test or 213 on the computer-based TOEFL test) is needed for the Faculty of Engineering, and a minimum of 92 (580 or 237) for all other Faculties. Some departments may require higher scores.

    One official transcript of academic work completed to date, sent directly from the issuing institution. If the final transcript does not show that a completed degree has been conferred, an official copy of your diploma is also required. Two confidential letters of recommendation from instructors most familiar with your academic work. Please note that McMaster University uses the Electronic Referencing System. By entering the email address of your referee through the online application, the system will automatically send an e-Reference request on your behalf.
